Service Description
Dry Needling, also known as trigger point dry needling, is a safe and effective treatment utilized by physical therapists to reduce pain, reduce muscle tightness, break down scar tissue, and even improve muscle performance. Dry needling includes a physical therapist evaluation for identifying the source of your pain and/or discomfort, and then placing very small, sterile needles into those areas causing your pain or dysfunction. The procedure may last anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes, with additional options for including e-stim for added benefit! Most clients report feeling an improvement in their symptoms in 24-48 hours, with most common side effects including slight pain in the area of needle insertion, redness, or minor bleeding/bruising. Many individuals report not feeling the needle insertion at all, and find dry needling to be a very effective intervention for pain, whether short-term or chronic! Adding soft tissue mobilization and deep tissue massage can improve pain management outcomes compared to basic dry needling as it works to fatigue/relax tight muscles, and may improve effectiveness of pain relief. Soft tissue mobilization is a technique utilized by physical therapists that is similar to massage, but is utilized more as a medical intervention that targets hypertonic (tight/toned) or "trigger point" tissues to calm muscles, improve tissue blood-flow, and provide pain relief.
Cancellation Policy
APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION POLICY Client understands and agrees that all booked appointments must be cancelled, via written or verbal communication to the staff of Adapt Physical Therapy & Fitness, within 24-hours of the scheduled appointment time. In the event that written or verbal communication of an appointment cancellation is not provided, or a client "no-shows" the appointment without prior communication, a 50% cancellation fee may be applied to your account at the full discretion of Adapt Physical Therapy & Fitness. We understand that life events and emergencies may arise, so we will do our best to reschedule, if possible, to avoid any cancellation fees as able. NO SHOW POLICY Client understands and agrees that arrival to appointments greater than 10 minutes late without notification to Adapt Physical Therapy & Fitness LLC will NOT guarantee that services can be provided, and the appointment time may need to be re-scheduled with a cancellation fee incurred. Should the Client accrue more than 3 missed appointments without proper notification (“no-show”), Adapt Physical Therapy & Fitness reserves the right to cancel future appointments and/or discontinue all future services for the Client. The Client will be notified in writing if Adapt Physical Therapy & Fitness LLC elects to discontinue services due to frequent no-shows, and the Client will be required to obtain written approval from the Owner of Adapt Physical Therapy & Fitness in order to resume their services. PAYMENT & BILLING AGREEMENT Client understands and agrees that Adapt Physical Therapy & Fitness will be paid for all services rendered to the client according to the current fee schedule as designated by Adapt Physical Therapy & Fitness, which is available to the client upon written request. It is the sole responsibility of the Client, or the approved guardian/guarantor, to pay for services rendered by Adapt Physical Therapy & Fitness. The Client may request copies of receipts of services, documentation, and/or billing codes for end-of-year tax and health insurance-reimbursement purposes (HSA, health insurance reimbursement for “out-of-network” provider, etc.). It is the responsibility of the Client to make full payments within 30 days of receiving a bill or invoice, unless otherwise indicated by Adapt Physical Therapy & Fitness LLC. If you are unable to pay your bill within 30 days or your account becomes overdue, a 2.5% interest will be added monthly to your existing account.
